God of Heaven’s Armies, You say that You will not tempt us with more than we can stand. You say that when we are tempted, that You will show us a way out of that temptation. Lord God, plant in my hand the sword of the Holy Spirit to fight my lustful desires of the flesh. Sex surrounds me, on TV, in music, in magazines, and on the internet. Fight my demons and help me hold fast to Your commandment against sexual activities outside of marriage. The temptation is too strong – I cannot fight the devil without You. Run Your power through me and fill me with Your divine resolve to deny sin its chance to strangle my life! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
