Way Maker, Miracle Worker, I need You now. I am weak. I do not want to give in to my urges, but it is so hard to go through the day without the escape, the release, and the euphoria. I need Your divine intervention to strengthen my resolve to stop. I need You to help me find substitutes that comfort me. Make me busy with something else to divert and occupy my mind. Turn my life around. Help me make small steps each day – cutting back – delaying…come into me, Lord. Fill me with Your strength. Give me the power, through You, to beat my demons. I need You, Lord. I need You. You are my Light in the Darkness. I cannot do this on my own. Amen.
