O Lord our God, thank you that you have plans for us that are for our good and your glory. By the power of your Holy Spirit, you are faithful to give the gift of eternal life to your people. As we baptize this child we ask you to guide and strengthen him/her throughout their life. May he/she grow into the likeness of your son, Jesus Christ. Neither death or life, angels or rulers, things present or future, height or depth, or anything else in all creation, will be able to separate him/her from your love. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
